FocusX
These terms apply to the FocusX iPhone app and the focusx.app website, made by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using FocusX, you agree to them.
1. The app
Your license to use FocusX is governed by Apple’s Standard License Agreement (EULA). These terms add details specific to FocusX. If they conflict, the EULA applies to the license and these terms apply to everything else.
2. Free and Plus
FocusX is free to use with up to 100 tasks, including completed ones. FocusX Plus unlocks unlimited tasks, widgets, Live Activities, the Lock Screen wallpaper and iCloud sync, as well as features added later to Plus.
Plus is offered as a one-time lifetime purchase or as a yearly auto-renewing subscription. Eligible first-time subscribers get a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan.
3. Payments, renewals and cancellations
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we can’t issue them directly. The lifetime purchase is paid once and never renews.
Purchases can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account from the Plus banner in FocusX settings › Restore Purchases.
4. Your content
What you write in FocusX belongs to you. It is stored on your device and, with iCloud sync, in your own iCloud. We don’t have access to it, so please keep your own backups (for example, iCloud or device backups).
5. Fair use
Please don’t reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app or the website, or use them in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
6. Our work
The FocusX name, icon, design, illustrations and code belong to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don’t give you any right to use them beyond using the app.
7. Third-party services
FocusX relies on Apple services (App Store, iCloud, notifications, Shortcuts) and on RevenueCat for purchase records. Their own terms apply to them, and we’re not responsible for their availability.
8. Disclaimer
We work hard to make FocusX reliable, but it is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that reminders, widgets or sync will always behave as expected. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the laws of your country.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of FocusX. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for FocusX Plus in the twelve months before the claim. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll update the date above and let you know in the app. You can stop using FocusX at any time by deleting it.
